I have been acting professionally since 1989.

My first role in a feature film was as the lead in Rolf De Heer's acclaimed "Bad Boy Bubby". [View an excerpt here.] The film won various awards including the Venice Film Festival CIAC (popular) award (Best Film), the Australian Film Industry Award (Best Actor in a Feature Film), the Valencienne Festival of Action and Adventure Award (Audience Award), and the Australian Cinematographers Award (Best Actor). My memoir Brushing the Tip of Fame was published by Bantam Books in 2005, and my first short film, Complicity, premiered at the Sydney Film Festival 2010.

I began directing theatre in 2013 at the Mayday Festival with my own play "Little Gods", followed by a sold-out production of Joel Drake Johnson's "Four Places" for Outhouse Theatre Company in 2014. My third play, "Five Properties of Chainmale", was selected from a pool of over 80 applications to premiere as part of Griffin Theatre Company's Independent season in April, 2015.

I am currently in post-production with Alex Duncan's short film 'Like Gold' for the Hub Studio's Bench VOD series, which will also feature my own short film script Vamp, directed by Aimee-Lee Curran.

I have worked around the world in film, television and theatre, and have been published in a variety of mediums. This website gives access to some of my work across each of those fields.
